On September 17, 2009 Community Health Services and Adams 14 celebrated the Grand Opening of the state-of-the-art Wellness Center at the new Adams City High School.

On October 2, 2009 Adams 14 had the privilege of hosting Special Assistant and Advisor to the Secretary of the US Department of Education, Mr. Greg Darneider.

Mr. Darnieder spent only one day in the Denver metro area and Adams 14's Adams City High School was selected as a model of success in implementing post-secondary education and dropout recovery programs.

One of the career programs that Mr. Darnieder was fortunate enough to experience on his visit was the Culinary Arts Program at Bubba's Bistro.

At the November 24 Adams 14 Board of Education Study Session Lynn Heintzman, Chief Academic Officer, shared the current data driven strategy to ensure effective instruction throughout Adams 14.
