It builds on the success of the 2001 and 2006 Congresses in Shanghai and Mexico City. The 2011 WPSC includes over 800 participants from 68 countries. It is an initiative of the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN). GPEAN is the leading international congress for urban planning educators
