Buka
Buka is a psychological short film about a young woman living in (real or imagined) isolation.
The film is trying to capture the particular state of mind one can experience in loneliness, fear and depression. Working with movements, location and symbols rather then text Buka isfollowing film's tradition of using non-verbal methods of expression.
Concept and production by Boldizsar Csernak-Risko
Performed by Julia Orlando Adzuki
Inspired by Jean Cocteau's "Orphee" (1950) this current work continues to explore the interrelation between body, space and movements. Using reflexive surfaces and projected images in the studio to create a complex, multi-layered and fragmented environment for the performer and the viewer to enter a surreal world.

Single channel projection designed as site-specific for showing at The Crypt, St Pancras Church London.
The title refers to the architectural sculptures, the caryatids found on site.
Combining recordings of close-ups of the sculptures with shots of a female dancer's improvisation the piece juxtapose movement and stillness between the sculpture and the living.
In addition the work is characterized by a different look at the female where the extreme low angles
exaggerate the muscular bodies of its female subjects.
Making of:
Originally it was designed as site-specific installation for showing at The Crypt, St Pancras Church London at MINE group show. The sculptures I have started working are the architectural sculptures of the Church. I wanted to juxtapose their enormous and heavy still presence with the movements of a dancer.
