Shot with Canon EOS 7D and Canon Legria (Vixia) HFG10.
Both with ultra flat settings (low color, low contrast, low sharpness) - as inspired by Philip Bloom - . 25P mode.
For the 7D the Sigma 17-50 F2.8 was used also the Zacuto target shooter and z-finder. For the G10 a manfrotto monopod was used.
Edited and graded in Final Cut Pro X. Music by Air (alone in Kyoto).
I would like to mention that i am very impressed with the HFG10. It actually performs like a film camera, just as the DSLR's do. So i only see some small advantages for the 7d.... Overall the handling of the HFG10 camera is so much
easier. And it even givers less noise in low light conditions. The image quality is superb. In theory the 7D should be better because of its bigger sensor. But i don't see it... And of course you can used the best 'glass' with a DSLR. So i think the 7D would only win on the point of the ability to use other (better) lenses such as the superb lenses of Carl Zeiss (for the professional).... I am curious what you all DSLR enthusiasts think !!
