In a house of darkness with a mother who ignores her, Nova Lowry has always been 'the good one'. Bullied by her older sister, Wisdom, on her fifteenth birthday, Nova's life changes forever when Wisdom gets run down and killed by a drunk driver. Cheryl, Nova's mother, is not coping.

Nova Lowry is a 16 year old girl who struggles to cope with her emotionally unstable mother a year after the tragic death of her older sister, Wisdom.

Please note: This film has adult themes and some coarse language - it is recommended as Parental Guidance required and suitable for those over 14yrs.

Bullied at home and school and ignored by a depressed mother, Nova discovers that she will do almost anything to survive. The story unfolds through Nova's eyes as it takes us on an emotional journey through the pain of bullying, sibling rivalry and the impact of teenage death on families.

There are discoveries of young romance, breaking up of unrewarding friendships and of new strength that comes from the need to survive.
