The Province Lands bicycle paths on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA are very scenic, but seriously substandard and hazardous -- with their steep slopes and blown sand. The paths also are much longer than the lightly-traveled roads which parallel them. Yet the Transportation Bill currently in the U.S. Congress would ban bicycle travel on those roads.
