Aldeanueva de Ebro is a small village in La Rioja, Spain. It is well known for its vineyards and excellent Rioja wine. It produces more then 10% of all the wine made in La Rioja. I was born there but lived in Canada all my life. This trailer shows the first images of the film that's been in production since summer of 2012 and which is scheduled to be released some time in 2014. It tells the story of the village with images and sound and as seen thru the eyes of a stranger that is slowly discovering its many facets, the way people live, the way they feast and celebrate on every occasion they have and the way the work.

Filmed in the Sea of Cortez near Puerto Penasco Mexico in the Morua Estuary. This small estuary is home to an abundant amount of life both above and below the water. Since it is known as a "Negative Estuary" which means it does not take on any fresh water from streams or rivers, it is not typical of other estuaries.I hope that you enjoy watching it as much as I did filming it.

First part of a new series I am doing which takes the footage I have shot from the four corners of the globe and uses them to create a taste, a flavour of each place.
This one is from Marrakech is Morocco. It was actually shot late December 2011/ early January 2012 whilst on a short break there to see in the new year. It was one of those things I had planned on editing for ages but never found the time. Thankfully Sarah Estela wanted to cut it and now we have it!

Shot on the Sony NEX 7 with pretty much all Nikon Glass...the long lens stuff is the excellent 80-200mm F2.8 Nikon.
Audio was recorded using my (then) just bought Roland R26 using the built in stereo and condenser mics (EXCELLENT UNIT!)
I've just moved to New Zealand, and my first 30 days and 30 nights here made a powerful impression on me. I've never done anything quite like this before, so I thought I would share what I felt with you.
(Suggestion: Watch this 4K video Full Screen and with Good Speakers or earphones!)
I also have a full free How-To video (coming soon to be posted on StuckInCustoms.com ) that shows how I did everything, in case you are curious and would like to try something like this yourself.
The music is from my friend... one of the few people on earth that makes my heart beat a little faster than normal... Hans Zimmer. Just go ahead and buy all of Hans Zimmer's work... let it be the soundtrack of your life. :)
Over 300 hours of work went into the film's creation. The Full How-To Video is coming soon, but I did everything myself... the shooting, the post-processing, the editing and sync, etc etc... I used a violent mixture of many tools: Photomatix Pro ( stuckincustoms.com/photomatix-review/ ), Magic Bullet Looks ( stuckincustoms.com/magic-bullet-looks-review/ ) , Topaz Adjust ( stuckincustoms.com/topaz-adjust-review/ ), Nik Software, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, LRTimelapse, Twixtor Pro, Final Cut X. Also thank you for logistical help to my assistant Abraham Stephenson.
I shot and edited the entire piece myself here in Queenstown, New Zealand. All of the shots are from this little fertile crescent. I get many questions about that interior shot, and that is from the Commonage Villas ( commonagevillas.com/ ). I stayed there for about a month while house-shopping, and I think it has some of the best views in Queenstown! Besides that location, every shot was less than a fifteen minute drive from my home.
What hardware tools did I use? With the exception of the Syrp Genie, I list out my hardware tools that I use on the site at stuckincustoms.com/stuff-you-need/ .
After my surf session, I have the opportunity to shoot this spot, Japan.
