Boiling down the essence of a 200 page book into a video around 2 minutes was a fun task to take on. Using the author’s own voice and actual excerpts from the book and putting it all into a world of animation seems to have done the trick. Sales for the first week alone have been outstanding.
"City in the sky" is a concept about an imaginary tranquil oasis above the mega developed and polluted city where one can escape from the everyday noise and stress. The concept is inspired by the Lotus flower which is known for its ability to emerge above the murky waters pure and clean.

We did this in our spare time and it was a great learning experience. Special thanks to all who share their professional knowledge! Rendered with 3DSMAX and V-Ray. Some footage and time-lapses shot with Canon5D MKII in New York City. Post&FX in AE.
Directors Smith & Foulkes together with Wieden + Kennedy have launched a new set of animated idents for Honda featuring miniature versions of some of the automotive brand's best-known inventions.
We were responsible for the assembly of the multiple shots, remove props, track all the objects, shade, light and render everything. All of the FX animation, compositing and grading also happened under one roof at Analog. We shared the modeling with Nexus since it was a massive undertaking with so many products. Nexus also provided us with the amazing character animations and the subtle physical secondary movements of the objects.
