Earth Adventures

  1. Thanks for all the love for this video, I'm really glad many have appreciated it or related to the process of trying to capture fleeting moments.

A mini doc, though perhaps unusually told. It's about my recent trip to Norway, some of the same footage as my previous video but this one explains a little about why I go away once a year to film something tricky.

Thanks to Kessler for making the Pocket Dolly, electraDRIVE motor and Oracle controller for the timelapse dolly shots. Canon for making the 5D mark 3, great for landscape low light work. Panasonic for making the GH2 with it's lovely video quality in such a small camera and for being discrete enough to photograph out the plane window really easily. Final thanks to Tom Lowe at Dreamcore for Timescapes which inspired me to get out there and get some good timelapses.

  3. A short film about Mark Wood - Global Explorer
News Update: Winner of the best Cinematography award at the Film Competition of XVIII Mountain Fim Review in Ladek Zdroj 2013 (Poland)

In November 2011 Mark set off from Hercules Inlet on the West coast of Antarctica in an attempt to be the first person in history to ski solo – unsupported and unaided to both the South Geographic and the North Geographic Poles consecutively.

All camera work was by Mark using Canon and Gopro HD cameras.

This is a shorter edit of the film which was created earlier. You can watch the full 26 minute film at vimeo.com/45654210

  5. Dedicated to my Granddad - Ronald John Bloomfield 1926 - 2013. A keen photographer and 8mm film enthusiast.

Photographed over the course of three weeks in Johannisholm, Sweden. Dec 2012 - Jan 2013

With the sun setting around 3-4 pm each evening, this gave alot of opportunities to shoot at night.

Most of the time it would be waiting for just the right weather conditions, to capture the moon rise, and the Aurora.

    Shot with the Canon 5D Mark 3, 60D and 550D. 100% RAW
