As co-founder of the Breastfeeding Manifesto Coalition and in our continued role on the Steering Group of the Breastfeeding Manifesto Coalition, Best Beginnings is proud to host this film on our Vimeo channel.
The film was shot at the House of Commons on Monday 21st June at an event hosted by Emma Thornby MP. The afternoon was chaired by TV Presenter Charlie Webster. Charlie spoke of her commitment to the Manifesto and she also introduced the three speakers; Graham Allen MP, Dr Judith Meek and Alison Baum.
The special event marked the beginning of National Breastfeeding Week 2010 and the re-launch of the Breastfeeding Manifesto to engage the many new MPs.
Films of the speeches will be uploaded to Vimeo soon. With thanks to Article10 for their ongoing support of Best Beginnings and for making this film for the Coalition pro-bono.
I've made this short film specially for my friends and family to prove that I really did cycle to Paris in September and to thank you all for your ongoing love and support and to tell you why I put myself through this extreme physical challenge, overcoming a bee sting and shingles along the way!
It would be wonderful if you could watch this film on Monday 6th or Tuesday 7th December, it will become clear why when you watch it!
To find out about the Small Wonders project for premature and sick babies that I mention on my film go to: vimeo.com/11734224
to watch a film we made a year ago about the need for the project or go to:
bestbeginnigs.org.uk to see a film I directed a few weeks ago in November featuring Charlie Webster and one of the mothers who is being filmed for the Small wonders project.
NOTHING is more important to me than friends and family and I don't want to put any pressure on you to donate. Please understand that I am primarily sharing these films with you so you know about my work and what motivates me.
If, having watched one or more films you feel inspired to support the Small Wonders project today via: thebiggive.org.uk/donate/bestbeginnings that would be a wonderful bonus. But if you decide not to doante that is, of course, absolutely fine.
With love and best wishes
