"Hold my hand" was composed just before Christmas 2008. Today I wish it was on one of my CDs because it has a special meaning to me...

I played this back in the 70s in an arrangement by Laurindo Almeida in A-major and I thought of making an easier arrangement for many years. The time has come! It is in G and in standard tuning. (E B G D A E)

Since I was a teenager, I loved to play the music of Venezuelan composer and guitarist Antonio Lauro (August 3, 1917 -- April 18, 1986). I struggled hard with the alternating 3/4 and 6/8 measures that is so characteristic for the Venezuelan waltzes.
I made this piece to honor Lauro for his contribution to the classical guitar repertoire.

No reverb added! This is the natural sound from my dining room.
This is, as 90% of my compositions, "a song without words". But I hope you can hear my "words" anyways.

This has some tricky places, but all in all, not that hard to play.
Recorded 15th. April 2010. (Guitar: Philippe Jean-Mairet, 1987)
For a long time I wanted to do an arrangement of one of my favorite Beatles songs: Penny Lane! The only thing I couldn't play/arrange was the piccolo trumpet part. Sorry... :-)
Thank you Beatles for all the brilliant music! I am happy to have lived at the same time as them so I could experience this. :-)
