But the New Testament presents to us a church that Jesus founded, that teaches the truth, that carries out God's mission, and that is precious to God, who gave His Son to redeem the church for Himself.
The idea of the headship of husbands over wives has been abused for centuries and neglected for decades. In the end, doing things God's way is always better than living by our own plans. The headship of a husband does not in any way mean the devaluing of the wife. Instead, it recognizes the equality of the genders and calls for us to responsibly fulfill our God-given roles for the benefit of our spouse.
