Yet another new 24p version!
Shot over a couple of nights, taking the 5dmk2 out on the streets and getting shots of the inhabitants and visitors. No lighting, no grading. This is what came out of the camera image wise. All handheld and helped by using the Z-Finder from Zacuto to give the camera a proper viewfinder and improve stability.
All shot using one lens. A Nikon mount Zeiss ZF 50mm f1.4
Music is performed by Stacey Kent: You can't take that away from me.
Converted to 24p JES De-Interlacer
Thanks to Dennis Lennie and Teodor Stoyanov.

This is the official music video for DJ Trax's Shady. To check out more info about his new album please go to: www.djtrax.wordpress.com
The thinking behind the video is of pain and relief and how we try to soothe ourselves in trying environments.
The location was an incredible creepy old hotel which is now anti-squat (Thanks Floor!). Someone had walked around the whole building with a marker drawing on the walls. It must have taken quite sometime as the place was big. Some of our crew thought that sort of action comes from sheer boredom and others that it comes from deeply suppressed anger. What do you think? Regardless all of us agreed that it added a huge mystery to our video and we jumped at the chance to include it as mise-en-scéne.
It was shot on Panasonic's HVX200 using P2 workflow. The room scenes were shot with the fixed lens of the camera. The scenes inside the box were show with Nikon lenses and the Redrock Micro 35MM adapter.
Edited in FCP. Animated in AE.

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
