Centro Negra | Artists in Residence | February 2014
During the residency at Centro Negra, he developed his project Mind the Crowd. The intention was to create an interaction with the population of Blanca village in order to stimulate community awareness and thinking.
With this idea as starting point, ’Mind the Crowd’ recalls the importance of setting common goals and displays the possibilities of collective collaborative actions.
The project, a synergy of disciplines, blends sculpture, installation, urban intervention, propaganda and documentary photography. 25 semi-figurative sculptures collaborate together to form a bigger entity. ‘Mind the Crowd‘ intervene in different parts of the public space targeting an unfiltered, heterogeneous segment of the population.
