After changing its name to Snow Peak in 1963, the company quickly made a name for itself as a tent maker. As the company built its reputation among hikers, campers and other outdoors enthusiasts, it has maintained a strong sense of its local community as well as its user base.

Today, the company takes great pride in sharing its facilities with campers, as well as maintaining a strong after care program. Far from hiding its defects or customer service issues, Snow Peak openly shows its efforts to help find meaningful solutions to customer grievances. In fact, resolving them has become a source of many innovations and new product development.

Snow Peak creates a wide range of outstanding items for people who enjoy outdoor activities. As the company built its reputation among hikers, campers and other outdoors enthusiasts, it has maintained a strong sense of its local community. Its products are enhanced tremendously by the craft skills available in the area of Niigata Prefecture where the company is based.

Products featured at the London event:
The Dutch Oven is made using a special process called ductile iron casting. While not fundamentally different from other cast iron products, the process developed by Snow Peak and its partner supplier enables the iron to be considerably thinner and lighter than most other cast iron products. In doing so, the pots and skillets of this series heat (and cool) faster, yet maintain the benefits of other similar ironware.

The stainless steel fireplace minimises campfire waste and damage to the immediate environment. The bottle is vacuum sealed and double walled to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.

The bamboo chopsticks feature brass fittings and a canvas carrying case, while the blade for whittling wood is handmade locally using steel of the finest quality. The innovative design of the table enables one person to fold and unfold the legs in a single easy action.
