A passage introducing Hazel's story from our just-released documentary film AFRICAN CHRISTIANITY RISING: STORIES FROM ZIMBABWE (73:30) The "prayer group" her pastor calls in is led by Mrs. Binge Pinge, a retired nurse, who was a leader in the prayer group movement in the United Methodist Church in Zimbabwe. Led by lay people, it was an important part of the movement of charismatic renewal in that church that so it grow rapidly in the past generation.   4. This segment from our just-released AFRICAN CHRISTIANITY RISING documentary film series portrays a young and rapidly growing Presbyterian church in the provincial capitol of Akropong, Ghana. Its rapid growth was fueled largely by its deliverance ministry popular across all Christian denominations in Ghana. In a later passage in this film we follow Grace Presbyterian Church's deliverance team on what has become their annual mission trips to North America, where we filmed them doing and teaching deliverance ministry (among other things) in one of New York City oldest churches. Also, returning to Ghana eight years later to do follow-up filming, we see has happened since then to both Grace Presbyterian and the characters you meet here. For more visit jamesault.com.
