  3. Our dear friend and valued member of the food community Jennifer Perillo lost her husband of 18 years to a sudden heart attack. She asked that in honor of those we love, to make a Creamy Peanut Butter Pie and share it to those we love. This pie was also a favorite of her husband, Mikey.     Jennie started a firestorm of joy and love for Mikey in the online food community. With the twitter hashtag #Apieformikey , hundreds of pies were made in his honor.

  4. How to: Pear & Gorgonzola Crostinis

    You will need:
    2 pears
    1/2 cup Gorgonzola
    1/2 cup of butter
    1 baguette
    Honey

    1. Slice pears.

    2. Whip 1/2 cup Gorgonzola and 1/2 cup of butter together until light and fluffy.

    3. Toast 1/4 " thick baguette slices.

    4. Place pears on toasted baguette slices, top with cheese, drizzle with honey.

  5. There's something innately impressive in preparing a hot, relatively composed dessert for someone. Once that spoon breaks into the cake, letting it burst open with warm, gooey chocolate, well, who isn't going to gobble that right up?
