A little piece shot whilst staying with Eric Kessler. I filmed his salt water aquarium again, last time was in September 2010 with the 7D (you can that piece here vimeo.com/14757348) and the same lens the 100mm Macro L with IS, this time with my 1DC. Shot in 4K but edited in 1080p.
Shooting in 4k and downscaling is going to give you more details, although the S35 mode on the camera is C300 in it's detail so I could have shot it in that but this is actually for 4k projection...oh and it was half shot log and half not...don't ask!
I will be making a 4K version so I can show some of this footage at BVE at the end of Feb. It does look rather splendid...of course some of the shots are not as detailed as I would like, but when you are shooting through very thick glass and water...
The music is rather too obvious but it says what it is on the tin and it is sooo beautiful.
It's a short one but sit back and relax and marvel at the incredible coral life that has been part of our planet for over 500 million years.
