August candidly describes what it is like for a citizen to testify before a House or Senate legislative committee, especially for a non-lobbyist, private citizen who may be interested in one particular bill only. He also talks about a list of bills he testified about on behalf of the good government group her represents as a volunteer lobbyist and a few he was interested in as a private citizen.

State of the State RI
State of the State is a public access television show produced in Rhode Island. Its purpose is to promote, in a non-partisan manner, the civic awareness of the general public; to promote greater civic participation and the exercise of political citizenship by using the television show as a means to educate and to inform the public.
