On April 16th, 2011 the short Dutch documentary ‘Doorgaan’ premiered during the National Wheelchair Basketball Day. Film maker Tom Poederbach and reporter Thomas Rijsman followed the Dutch National Wheelchair Basketball team during their preparations for the European championships which will take place in September 2011 in Israel, where they will aim to qualify for the Paralympics 2012 in London.

Op 16 april 2011 ging tijdens de eerste Nationale Rolstoelbasketbaldag de korte documentaire “Doorgaan” in premiere. Daarin volgen filmmaker Tom Poederbach en journalist Thomas Rijsman het Nederlands rolstoelbasketbalteam in de voorbereiding op het Europees Kampioenschap dat in september 2011 in Israël wordt gespeeld en waar kwalificatie voor de Paralympics 2012 in Londen op het spel staat.

De Kruisberg is about Teun Rohof a field hockey player who was selected for the Dutch national field hockey team. 20 years ago his parents moved to the hilly south of the Netherlands. At te age of 14 he started playing at hockey club Maastricht. He used to bicycle from home to the club and back three times a week for a couple of years. The place where he lived could only be reached by going over de Kruisberg a hill between his home and the club and after each training or play he needed to climb that hill with a rising of 9%. This route is also part of the yearly bike event the Amstel Gold race for professional bike racers. He claims his drive was build during the years he played in Maastricht and had to go over that hill with his bike. This is a project by Nils Adriaans, Thomas Rijsman and Tom Poederbach. Produced by One Saturday Afternoon.

Fiddleling with the Ball. Video portrait of Miek van Geenhuizen, olympic gold medalist field hockey with the Dutch national ladies team in Beijing 2008. She played 160 times for the national team and won all the titles that could be won.
She retired from the national team after a conflict wich the coach last summer. Currently playing for Hockey Club Laren. Miek is one of the top technical players in the world.
Clip was shot with Canon EOS 7D ( except match footage), Glidecam X10. Lens 15-85 (kit lens), Canon 70-200, Vocas DSLR rig, Miller 20 tripod. Zoom H4n audio recording complemented with Sennheiser wireless lavelier mic. Edited in FCP. Files transfered using MPEG Sreamclip to Prores422 1920x1080. Occasional grading to match all the shots. Exported as .mp4 in 1280x720 using Episode.
