Family pictures in the traditional sense have always been something I was bored with. The kids aren't smiling they way they really do, mom is after them to behave and within 5 minutes dad just wants to be done with it as quickly as possible. "1-2-3 say cheese!" Sound familiar? Yeah, that's loads of fun, isn't it.
If you're going to do family pictures let's have some fun with it. Loosen up, laugh, joke around and be who you really are. This is part of what sets me apart from the masses. I set things up in a way that makes your photo session painless.
I love capturing family in a way that allows everyone involved to have fun with it while surrounding themselves with the things that are most meaningful to them. The real task is putting it all together in a way that says "THIS is exactly who everyone is." It then becomes a meaningful piece with an experience tied to it. My goal is to have each one be a constant conversation piece when someone enters your home or office. Then....it's truly worth 1000 words.
Take a look at the highlights on how I put together The 4 Generations Composite.

3 days, 9 different concepts and a great deal of fun in several locations in Florida for Pinch-a-Penny Pool Service Company.
The Allen family was a complete blast to work with. Coming up with the concept for the final image ahead of time allowed us to just have fun with it when we began shooting. The concept for the image is the family celebrating a final winning score during a KU basketball game. The Allen's all attended and heavily support KU so incorporating it into their family picture as the driver to tie the family together only made sense. The video shows highlights on how much fun this can be and parts of the process to achieve the final 60"x48" image that is now hanging in their beautiful home.
