Cuando abordas los proyectos, sean del tipo que sean, a partir de un nivel más personal, te conectas muchisimo mas con lo que estás haciendo y tu percepción cambia significativamente. Bien, no acabamos de resolver ningún misterio de la psicología humana, obvio....pero creemos que hay algo importante en todo esto: esa conexión actúa en ambas direcciones, y por lo tanto, afecta a la pareja de la misma manera que te afecta a ti. Para nosotros esta conexión fue algo tangible y realmente determinante para llegar a descubrir algunas cosas en la vida de Angi y Javi que no habríamos podido ver desde otra distancia.

Unas semanas antes de la boda pasamos 4 días trabajando con ellos en el desarrollo y la grabación de su retrato de pareja (si sientes curiosidad lo puedes encontrar aquí: vimeo.com/26193855 ). Durante esos días su vida estuvo literalmente interrumpida para poder terminar a tiempo la enorme cantidad de detalles que estaban preparando para la boda. Por si no lo sabes todavía, Angi y Javi son diseñadores, y su boda representó la definición de DIY. El tiempo que pasamos a su lado ejemplifica el poder y el valor de conocer más profundamente a las parejas, porque nos sirvió para entender quiénes son ellos y lo que era realmente relevante para su historia.

La alegría, la creatividad y la energía que desprenden cuando están juntos es contagiosa, y creo que solo necesitaras estar 5 minutos a su lado para darte cuenta de eso. Francamente, para nosotros sería realmente difícil distinguir si la boda empezó el día de la ceremonia o el día en el que comenzaron con la elaboración de ese montón de detalles, porque pensándolo bien, era en esos momentos donde teníamos la sensación de que Angi y Javi eran más Angi y Javi. Esto nos hizo entender que, sencillamente, ellos dos funcionan mejor que nunca cuando están juntos. Ahora esto es más evidente que antes, porque a raíz de la boda decidieron arrancar Mr. Wonderful, un proyecto increíble que está teniendo un éxito sin precedentes y que se ha convertido en referencia a nivel nacional….y esto, lo han hecho juntos.

Over the past couple days I've had the chance to go on one of the most epic trips of my life through califronia. Being passionate about film, I always had an admiration for the film industry in california and one day hope to live here. For now, my travels to the area a couple times a year will do fine. I had the opportunity to travel with my good buddies Dave Tebbutt + Randy Panado. We've spent most of our time in LA but headed up along the PCH to San Fran. Along the way we stopped in numerous locations capturing whatever we thought was amazing, and well, there was no shortage of amazing stuff.

Anyways, this piece was all shot on the Canon 5DMK2 with L-Series glass (35 1.4 - 50 1.2 - 135 2) with the exception of a few shots on a Contax 17-35 2.8 wide lens. Support was all done with a Manfrotto 501 Tripod with regular legs and the Cinevate Atlas 10.
