I had the opportunity to swing by TBC Hot Rods and Bikes in Fayetteville, NC and check out the shop. Every month the guys at the shop pool their funds together to bring in a band, food, and drinks for "Garage Night". It is something that really gives back to the automotive community in Fayetteville which is what it is all about. Tim Bradham is one of the nicest people you will meet and is a master fabricator. He creates a lot of things out of raw materials and it is amazing to see something start from nothing.

EL MAR MI ALMA - THE SEA MY SOUL
A soon to be released surf film by Rebel Waltz Films starring Chile and the surfing of (in order of appearance) Ramon Navarro, Dave Rastovich, Dane Ward, Crystal Thornburg, Chris del Moro, Joel Parkinson, Christian Merello, Leo Acevedo and Diego Medina.
With an extremely long and diverse coastline, Chile is a country not only shaped by its geography. The sea occupies a mystical and poetic, conscious and unconscious place within the cultural fabric of the nation.
The film is essentially a visual tone poem, it's tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and music, consisting primarily of cinematic surfing sequences inter-cut with littoral landscapes, local people and places, and the movements of the cast on a surfing journey through Chile. The film also contains a political undercurrent and pays homage to the environmental campaign associated with this surfing tour. However, ultimately, the film paints a picture of Chile's beauty and association with the sea, centered around the affectionate act of surfing.
A documentary of the environmental campaign associated with this surfing tour is also in production by Rebel Waltz Films.

Patrick Watson - "Adventures in Your Own Backyard"
A project from bureauofcommongoods.com, Made by Hand is a new short film series celebrating the people who make things by hand—sustainably, locally, and with a love for their craft.
In 1974, Dominican immigrant Don Antonio Martinez started a small shop in New York City selling hand rolled cigars. Thirty-eight years later his son, Jesus, carries on the tradition. The shop combines craftsmanship with community, mixing equal parts work and play.
