Commissioned by Sylvie Guillem for her TV series Evidentia, 'Solo' was shot on B/W 16mm. Filmed in a disused Chocolate factory on the outskirts of Paris, 'Solo' won the Grand Prix International for Video Dance. It was broadcast on BBC2, PBS and France2 and screened at the Whitney Biennale in New York. 'Solo' is the result of a brave new improvisational technique from William Forsythe's choreography. I am indebted to Le Cinematheque Francais and Le Cinematheque de la Dance, Paris for making this project possible.
“One Flat Thing Reproduced ” is a play for 14 dancers and 20 tables on the music of Thom Willems.
The World Premiere took place in Frankfurt in 2000.
Unanimously acclaimed by the press, this work with a great theatrical intensity oscillates between disorder and symmetry. This very powerful creation gives rise today to a new work “One Flat Thing Reproduced”.
