Hybrid Sculpture, Foam, Plaster, Video Projection
Footage from the group show "T-MINUS20", curated by Jason LeBlond and Ves Pitts for the Christopher Henry Gallery, Soho NY.
For the 'Rotterdamse Museumnacht 2011' Sober Industries build two large sculptures. Both sculptures were projected with mapped visuals. The spectators were able to control the visuals projected by a custom made cubicle with motion sensors and buttons, made by Bruce Moerdjiman. By tilting the cubicle the color of the visuals changed and the buttons were used to skip through the visuals and to create other effects like blending and scratching.

Thermophores is an artificial organism which can fully change the color of it's skin by reacting to temperature changes. When heated, a process is put in motion resulting the organism to turn into a white color.
After absorbed enough energy, it slowly cools down and shifts back to it´s original color.

Spes Lab is the art and photo studio of japanese painter Koutaro Ooyama.
He painted walls, floor and ceiling with neon colored psychedelic visuals and using LED lighting made the colors change and evolve following the sound of the DJ booth.
We set up an immersive mapping in order to create a 3D unverse based on the complex shapes of the painting.
