A little compilation highlighting some of the things that happen when you follow the worlds biggest Shark (the Whale Shark) all the way to the Philippines. A brief glimpse of 2012, including snippets from Donsol (with the WWF), Oslob (with NGO Physalus' Large Marine Vertebrate Project) and the Thresher Shark Research and Conservation Project on Malapascua.
Heading back out in January 2013....follow my adventures at: sallysnow.co.uk - I'd love to have you on board! Until then, thanks for tuning in x
A very quick taster of some of the work conducted by Non Government Organisation, Physalus from earlier this year. Their Large Marine Vertebrate Project has been running in the Philippines since 2010 and has projects studying Whale Sharks, Marine Mammals and Turtles. The video also features some footage I shot whilst with WWF-Philippines in Donsol. The 'once was a fisherman' is the wonderful Gilbert (Embet) Guadamor, one of the individuals that discovered the smallest ever recorded Whale Shark...a mere 46cm!
I will be going back out to the Philippines in 2013 and hope to film the amazing conservation work being carried out there. I am currently looking for sponsorship to help buy some vital equipment. If you think you can help, then please get in touch. I would love to hear from you.
