Daniel Johnson was unable to ride for almost two years due to a knee reco. He recently started riding and this is what came about from the past couple months.

This is our first edit with the Canon 7D. A bit of a test to see how it goes, filmed over a couple days out riding.

Shot with a Canon 50mm 1.4 lens

As there is no 7D settings in CS4 I used the AVCHD 1080p preset and exported out at H.264 on HDTV 1080p 29.97 high quality. Still not sure if this is the best way to do it but the workflow was fine with no lag on a macbook pro.

Not sure if I am sold on the export settings yet either.

I am still working this camera out etc.. Hope some of this info helps anyone else moving into the HD world.

Stowaway were keen to film a little edit with Daniel Johnson and Marnold who ride for Animal (DJ) and Skavenger (Marnold) through them so we went and filmed a session at BoxHill park (Victoria) one afternoon.

Troy came back from knee surgery a couple months ago after being off the bike for 18 months. We filmed this edit over that time, next week Troy goes in for a shoulder reco, not much luck for Troy lately but he definately came through with goods while he could. He will be back soon enough.
