The Mars Hill Debate concludes a larger teaching series entitled The Jesus Myth. Debates function as one of the many service formats implemented by Antioch LA in order to promote a community of exploration rather than indoctrination. In this debate, Dr. Mike Licona and Dr. Greg Cavin discuss the evidence for Jesus' resurrection.
This is the third part of the Antioch LA event, The Conflict, where attendees were able to verbally ask or text in questions for the Ph.D. professors regarding their 20-minute lectures on whether or not there is a genuine conflict between belief in God and modern science. This event was held at the University Lutheran Chapel adjacent to UCLA on September 29, 2013.
In this 20-minute lecture, Dr. Andrew Pitts delivers his reasons for why belief in science and theism are not in conflict.
Dr. Anthony Friscia leads off the Antioch LA event, The Conflict, with a 20-minute lecture on his reasoning for why belief in God and science are in conflict.
Antioch LA seeks to cultivate a community of exploration, not indoctrination. We host several free forums, debates, lectures, panels and Q&A sessions as part of their weekly, Sunday services in Santa Monica in West Los Angeles, CA. For more on Antioch LA, visit us at antioch.la
