the plan was to fly into san fran, shoot something inside giants stadium on saturday morning, and then head to las vegas later that day. turns out, our shoot at the stadium was done before lunch and everybody headed back home. i had about four hours left before my flight, my shoot was done for the day, and i had a field level pass to the game. what to do...?
it was a pretty incredible experience to be down on the field and have absolutely nothing that i had to shoot, to be there completely on my own, and just have fun with it. i looked around and groups of photographers would huddle in a similar place. since i didn't have to get that shot, i kept looking for a different place and a different lens to see it with.
here is a short i put together from my hour or so that i got to hang out before i had to head off to the airport.
ps // for those that aren't mlb or nfl fan, jerry rice is widely known as the best wide receiver to have every played the game. he played for the san francisco 49ers and was here to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
shot with the MKIV, a monopod, and some cinevate carbon slider lovin' too. processed in apple color.
the idea behind it was to have something that not only shows their process but have it be very quick and dynamic, much like any given day at the studio. with a warehouse type setting and a constant flow of moving gear we went with a more rugged tone to really bring out the feel of space.
shot with 1d mkiv, canon L primes, edited in fcp7 and apple color.
