This timelapse features my best work yet. It represents hours and hours of dedication to the art. I'm driven by chasing fleeting moments of damatic light on beautiful landscapes and also capturing the night sky and milky way in all it's glory is a real buzz. Not be mention curling up out under the stars beside all the gear for whole nights at a time catching some sleep here and there between checking the gear and changing batteries and staring up into eternity with spectacular meteors burning up in the cosmic shore out the corner of your eye. Doing this sort of thing has bought me closer and closer to the wilderness. There is something about doing this sort of stuff that just makes you want to keep coming back for more and more. Maybe it's the experience of being out there at one with the incredible beauty of this landscape. Maybe it's the challenge of capturing it in the camera in the way that you witnessed it. Maybe it's the excitement of seeing just what you got when you finally render it all out. Maybe it's the satisfaction you get out of showing this to other people. Most probably it's a combination of all these things.

I hope you enjoy watching this timelapse. Please leave a comment if you wish, I'd love to hear from you. It is my hope that in bringing back a little piece of nature to portray in this way helps spark the respect we need to have for such an incredible place.

  2. Further Unplugged takes you behind the scenes of Jeremy Jones' two-year snowboarding film, Further. Get an inside glimpse of what goes on between the lines as Jones and other top riders including Terje Haakonsen, Xavier De Le Rue and Josh Dirksen travel to exotic locations such as Japan, the Arctic Circle and the Wrangell-St. Elias Wilderness. Challenges arise around every corner as this crew attempts to push their minds and bodies further.

In the first episode of Further Unplugged, Jones travels to Japan to snowboard with Josh Dirksen and Forrest Shearer. With the help of Japanese mountain guide “Yeti” Dave, the group explores the Japanese Alps on splitboards and scores deep powder turns. But the true adventure begins when a blizzard moves in and the crew must hunker down in a high alpine refuge.

  3. Steve Peat takes his new Santa Cruz 5010 into the wilds of Scotland.

5010 pushes further into the realms of 27.5" wheel size possibilities. Developed using what we learned from Bronson, it takes the design platform in a different direction.

The low bottom bracket height, shorter chainstays and 125mm of progressive VPP suspension give 5010 its snappy, nimble, ride.

A 68 degree head angle adds climbing agility into the equation, whilst a 5lb carbon frame weight define 5010 as the tool for that back country mission you’ve always planned.

Responsibly offered in Mountain Rescue Orange, 5010 goes where no bike has gone before.

This film was a collaborative project between Santa Cruz, The Baller Consultancy, CutMedia and Visit Scotland.

  4. The idea was to road trip from Alaska to Los Angeles, explore Southern and Central Africa, and tour South America on dirt bikes. Reaching a tipping point, my friend and I decided it was time. We booked a one-way ticket to Alaska, bought a used truck, and hit the road.

This documents our journey for 6 months, over 3 continents, in 13 countries. Our travels stretched across the United States, Canada, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.
