My final fashion film for my BA Fashion Design for the Industry degree. My collection is based on the first instalment of The Divine Comedy, Dantes Inferno. One mans encounter through the depths of hell and also incorporating Hades and the associated greek mythology. Due to the fact that Hades is the god of the Underworld, all of my fabric are either grown or nourished from the ground (leather, silk, cashmere wool) and has a minimalistic aesthetic yet an overall look that creates a great impact, from pleated swing coats to flowing silk t-shirts.
Thank you for watching!
A fashion collection by Sarah Hill and film in collaboration with Odin Gillies and Lynne Jefferies. Music by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
One way or another, man or god, soon(er or later), we are ALL going to die.
THE END IS NIGH.
You are invited to The End of the World. Please dress accordingly.
What will you do at The End of the World?
Run? Hide? Take cover?
The authorities will advise you to prepare: Go in, stay in, tune in. Cower. Wait.
Calm and considered, measured and controlled.
Paint your windows white, stock food, save water, build a shelter.
Or will you live?
Why prepare when you know you’re going to die? (The authorities have already seen to that.) Aren’t you tired of following the rules?
Go out, stay out, tune out.
Ignorance is bliss.
It's over, let go, live.
History erased. Laws abolished. Convention forgotten.
PREPARE to party.
Time to start living. Fast. Because you’re going to die young.
