1. New car commercial for Indian market. The cars were not powerfull enough to powerslide and some actions were too complicated and dangerous to shoot them on set. That is why we created and animated some cars digitally, including the CG smoke coming from their wheels. Ad was shot on race circuit and was supposed to look like city location, so we added all houses in post.

    Nová reklama pro indický trh. Auta neměla dostatečný výkon pro většinu požadovaných manévrů a většina akcí byla I příliš nebezpečná pro natáčení na lokaci. Proto jsme museli vytvořit jak auta, tak kouř od pneumatik v postprodukci. Natáčelo se na závodním okruhu s plochou krajinou, která měla ve finále vypadat jako město, proto jsme všechny domy přidávali v postprodukci.

    ITV secured free-to-air television coverage for all 10 rounds of the inaugural Formula E championship, which races zero emissions electric cars. We created this promo, entirely in CG, from previs to final delivery in just one week. The spot teases the beautiful curves of these new single seat additions to electric motorsport, gradually showing more of the car before finally revealing the full form of this cutting edge, futuristic technology.

  4. Bill Bennett, ASC was the Cinematographer for this commercial, Directed by Andrew Sinagra of Ntropic. The unusual aspect of the commercial is the fact that the Lincoln MKZ automobile is completely a CGI element in every shot. We achieved this by actually traveling to Valencia Spain, to the City of Arts and Sciences, which is an actual place. We shot all the background pieces there with an Arri Alexa, with a stand-in automobile traveling through all the shots. That vehicle was then replaced with the CGI Lincoln MKZ. After we shot the stand-in car, we send a small Mini-Cooper convertible with a camera with a fish-eye lens pointed straight up, that traveled the same path as the stand-in car, recording the lighting and image of the environment that was later reflected back into the CGI car during post production Camera and lens metadata was recorded by the primary Alexa camera, which was then utilized by the CGI artists to place the CG car into the scene.
