Artist and photographer Richard Mosse reveals the stories behind the making of his latest film, 'The Enclave' (2013), in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will be shown in the Irish Pavilion at this year’s 55th Venice Biennale.
A Singapore Time lapse.
Big thanks to Michael Adler Miltersen for composing the arrangement and sound design for this film!
For 'The Lion City', the idea behind the extension of the tilt shift technique is for focus and distance to be something the viewer can experience. It also doubles to communicate the constant heat and humidity that hits you whenever you leave the comfort of air conditioning in Singapore.
Thanks to the following people who helped with this film:
Yan Szu Ong, Singapore National Parks Board;
April Tan, Juliana Tan, Irin Lin & Belle Tan - Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority;
Cheryl Ng, The Ritz Carlton Millennia Singapore;

Fulvia Wong, Singapore Flyer;
Ong Jun Wei, National Day 2011;
Steven Tan, Shaw Organisation;

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is an amazing up and coming city. This time lapse is a culmination of 10,000 RAW images and multiple shoots capturing some of the cities relentless energy and pace of change.
Everyone who has visited Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam knows part of the magic (love it or hate it) is in the traffic. Ever since I first set foot in HCMC I have been captivated by the cities energy. Saigon is a city on the move unlike anything I have experienced before which I wanted to capture and share.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the film and thanks also to the numerous kind people who allowed me access to some amazing locations.
The soundtrack is the energetic Mondo'77 by Looper - itunes.apple.com/ca/artist/looper/id3266548

Footage from a time-lapse workshop during the Perseid Meteor Shower. Shot on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in Joshua Tree National Park. The Perseid meteor shower is one of the most spectacular showers of the year.
Please note that not all of the light trails are meteors. Some of them are airplanes or satellites crossing the night sky. You can tell by the direction and length of the trails.
Thanks to Henry Jun Wah Lee from Evosia Photography for this amazing workshop. It far exceeded my expectations. Music by my beautiful wife Dawna Ara. Shot on a Canon 6D with a 14mm and 16mm wide angle lens on a Kessler CineSlider. Post production with LR Timelapse, Adobe Lightroom and After Effects.
