    A behind the scenes look at the rehearsal for the first ever meeting of the courts of Bounce and Vogue, featuring Kassandra Ebony and Ro.

    This 21st century version of a 19th century ball brought together the courts of Vogue and Bounce for the first time for an evening of pageantry and competition. This event was a collision and collaboration of the courts from each scene, which culminated in a full-scale ball and shakedown. (See full video of the evening here: vimeo.com/95593558)

    This was 524 square feet for the One Million Square Feet of Culture project.

    The Long Waltz Orchestra performed a waltz on unusual instruments, conducted by Luke Winslow King (2900 square feet), the courts of bounce and vogue met on stage (524 square feet), in a ball befitting the occasion with custom chandeliers and decorations designed by Margot Couture, Andrew Schrock, Ellery Neon, John Slaby, VnessWolfCHild, Harrison Richards Bartlett III 1/2, Leaf Samstormall (864 square feet), The New Orleans Society for Tableau Vivant created living pictures for guests to marvel at (96 square feet), attendees were masked by mask makers Jami Girouard, Mandy Stahl aka PartyMom, Beth Willow Yeah, Michael Arcos, Marnie Ellen, Alita Edgar and Rocky Banks (135 square feet), a music-loving alien called Liquid Nailz answered phones at reception (24 square feet), with surreal Kalal-A-Vision Photobooth photos being developed by Jayme Kalal (10 square feet), all guest curated by New Orleans Airlift.

    This was 4553 square feet as part of the One Million Square Feet of Culture initiative.

  5. 31000 square feet of rally art and kinetic sculptures in New Orleans during a music festival, guest curated by New Orleans Airlift.

    A collection of New Orleans art vehicles gathered to showcase and compete in a rally that represented the full range of the city’s clubs and individuals who’ve turned their rides into art. Despite their shared passion, most had never even met before.

    Tricked out low riders, freak bikes, painted motorcycles, urban cowboys dancing on horses, four-wheelers and more were sized-up by the judges in a competition for the prettiest and most fierce riders in the city.

    Along with the rally vehicles from Louisiana Whipz, Crescent City Pedallers, Dirty South Riders, Buffalo Soldiers, Hands On Throttle Bike Club, Juanki, Twine, The Reader and many more (28 095 square feet), there were pages of choreography mapped by Claire Tancons and Delaney Martin (6 square feet), rally signs, totems, murals, banners and a custom-built stage, by Heidi Tullma, Laura McMillian, Ben Wolf, The Reader (1643 square feet), a halftime show of twirling batons by Katey Red & The Terror Squad (500 square feet), The Prancing Elites acting as color guard, leading vehicles around the lot (500 square feet), a vintage boombox installation and performance by break dancer Sohlid Gold (240 square feet) and a drive-thru photobooth by Sarrah Danziger with guest artist Alanna Maureen Geare (16 square feet).

    Featuring special guest hosts: Mannie Fresh and Jack Mizrahi

    This was 31000 square feet as part of the One Million Square Feet of Culture initiative.
