Principal camera, David Lyman. Additional camera, Trust Mashoro and Jim Ault. Editor, Kate Purdie. The opening music is from the great Zimbabwean Gospel musician, Machanic Manyeruke, from his song, "Ndaiti Ndazorora" (Gramma Records). In 2011 we were finally able to return to Zimbabwe to do follow-up filming with all our characters there. Pieces of that have now been woven into the final film running 73:30. © 2013 James Ault Productions

  3. A short passage from our recently released documentary film, AFRICAN CHRISTIANITY RISING: STORIES FROM ZIMBABWE (73:30) following some of our key characters, Mrs. Bwawa, a school teacher, and her neighbor and friend, Mrs. Bingepinge, to an annual revival of the women's association of the United Methodist Church of Zimbabwe. This passage shows the kind of all-night worship, or "pungwe," drawing on traditional religious practice, that has by now been embraced by most mainline, mission-founded churches in Zimbabwe. Jim,

Just viewed these and found them to be fascinating and insightful. Will send them on to friends who ministered in Cote D'Ivoire for many years for their review and comments.
