Clean, modern, cool, mysterious, discreet and badass are words used to describe A24 as a company.
It’s a new school film company whose employees come from a rich background of film makers and supporters. When we set out to brand A24, the goals were to embody the class, mystique and glamour of old Hollywood, mixed with the trappings of a new and agile film company. One that is paving the way for a new generation of films and filmmakers by releasing them in less traditional ways.
As a reaction to the current state of major film companies, the A24 logo is cool and simple with a lingering hint that big changes are coming. We believe that In motion, it should retain these attributes.
The A24 logo is based on simple geometry - rectangles, triangles, perfect circles - intersected by one another. The “2” joins these simple shapes with organic forms at the top and bottom, reminiscent of old Hollywood serif numerals. This animation builds the complex logo out of these raw deconstructed forms.
