1. Please note. This is graded. This is not flat out of the camera!

Here is some footage I shot in Dungeness, Kent (my favourite location and often used by me) in ProRes HQ for the Blackmagic cinema camera review which you can see here: philipbloom.net/2012/09/05/bmd/

One thing I found on this pre-release camera is there is a touch of pink in the highlights when using ProRes HQ. BMD are aware and it will be fixed for release. This doesn't happen in the raw. The ProRes is beautiful. Sharp, flat as hell (very log-c alexa like) and way easier workflow than raw.

Sharpened a tad in post to make it ping and all shot on the internal battery is 2 hours.

Review will be here when it's ready: philipbloom.net/?p=27131

  3. This is a NEW, 25 Minute Version of "The Image Frontier - Making the Invisible Visible", with previously unseen footage and lots of new scenes (Version without German Subtitles go here: vimeo.com/61083440)!

A tribute to the International Space Station Program as well as Dr. Don Pettit, NASA Astronaut and ISS Astrophotographer, "Making the Invisible Visible" explores and celebrates the Art and challenges of Astrophotography orbiting earth Day and Night on board of the International Space Station.

Don Pettit's innovative photographic work, and his passion for low light photography, has definitely changed the way we see earth from space. Accompanied with great background info on the challenges, techniques and motives of astrophotography aboard the ISS by Don's famous "Luminance" speech, previously unseen footage by Astronaut weaves a compilation of 4 special ISS timelapses ("intro", "startrails", "fisheye" and "aurorae") into a captivating visual experience.

Welcome aboard the ISS - enjoy stunning photography, videos and timelapses from the Space Station!

"Making the Invisible Visible" was screened, and received a "honorable mention" at the 6th annual "Imagine Science" Festival in NYC (Oct. 2013, imaginesciencefilms.org/festival/2013-film-awards/).
