It is not unusual for us to witness thunder and lightning here in Mityana Uganda. The rainy season seems to bring even more dramatic storms. This storm brought thunder, lightning, wind and rain for hours. Pitch black followed by brilliant flashes. It was dramatic and exciting to watch. We put out the lights and enjoyed it all :)
In South Sudan, we traveled hours on bumpy roads with brush attacking the vehicle to a small rural village called Wotakujong. Here we met Margeret who had a vision of a church and school for the local families and had already begun work. We were greeted by children who ran along side our vehicle singing until we reached the almost completed church building made in the traditional way (mud walls with a thatched grass roof). The team was introduced and Margeret spoke very compellingly about her dreams for the village. I hope I can engage more with Margaret and her village to help these people and their children.
These youth dancers from the Kosovo area in Kampala Uganda were awesome. A team of young men from the Word of Life church in that area puts on a festival each year for the neighbourhood. Terry and I had such a fun time filming the event. There was a lot of talent and all the people had a great time!
