Handcrafted with love by BYU design students and faculty, for the 5th Typophile Film Festival. A visual typographic feast about the five senses, and how they contribute to and enhance our creativity. Everything in the film is real—no CG effects!

This is a timelapse of the design process for the reboot of the North website homepage. It's about 5 hours condensed into just under 3 minutes, showing 3 iterations of the design.

This was a really quick job, implementing a design which is flexible and which can be developed over time. The foundation is a fairly rigid grid system with a strong emphasis on typographic style.

Music: Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I

A two-minute animated voyage through nature's life cycle, following the trials and tribulations of a humble apple seed.

The film was kindly funded by Adobe, made using their CS4 range of software. It was produced at Nexus Productions and features a soundtrack by Jape. It was made using a mixture of stop motion papercraft and 2D drawn animation.

As part of my (Mike Kus) talk at FOWD London 2009 I played this short film. It's sped up footage of me designing my slides for my talk. I showed it because I thought it would interesting to see the design process I went through whilst making them. It also features a lot of footage of slides being designed that never made it to the final slide deck.
