Expedition Iceland is a collection of some of my favorite shots I did around Iceland during my 17 day, 4000 mile adventure around the country during the midnight sun in June 2013. This personal piece was shot entirely using the Canon 5D Mark III and only a few different Canon lenses.
I've always wanted to visit Iceland, and I had to take the opportunity when it came up. Sleeping in the passenger seat of a small SUV and living off mostly gas station food, it was all worth it. The country was absolutely stunning and I certainly hope to spend more time there again.
Special thanks to Kessler Crane for providing me with the motion control equipment used in the making of this video. All motion was done using the Kessler Crane CineDrive.

In the last 100 years, twelve people have stood on the moon, more than 500 have been into space, and more than five thousand have climbed Everest. Yet the journey Captain Scott and his team died trying to complete a century ago remains unrealised. No one has ever walked from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back again.
In 2012, the year of the London Olympics and the Queen’s 60th Jubilee, Ben Saunders, Alastair Humphreys and Martin Hartley take on arguably the most ambitious polar expedition in the last century: the four-month Scott 2012 – the first return journey to the South Pole on foot, and at 1,800 miles, the longest unsupported polar journey in history.
The Scott 2012 Expedition will complete Captain Scott's ill-fated journey to the South Pole 100 years ago.
The team recently returned from a training expedition in Greenland.
Recap of our trip to Iceland in 2012. We took two of our Jeep Wrangler JK vehicles, both AEV built JK350's - one with a 3.5" lift and one with a 4.5" lift. Driving across glaciers required us to air-down our tires to a few PSI... we forged rivers and climbed mountains. Check out beautiful Iceland for yourself.
It is easy to become so focused on reaching our destination that we forget all about the journey waiting to be discovered along the way.

AEV Explores the legendary Rubicon Trail in Northern California. Joined by a few of our international dealers (Germany, Japan, South Africa), we set out on a 3 day expedition experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of the Rubicon - unlike anything else.
