This is the MAGIC Telescope on the Canary Island La Palma, which is a so-called Cherenkov Telescope and measures Gamma-Rays from the most violent processes and objects in the universe. I captured this time lapse during my last measuring shift. The music is from Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony (Symphonie pathétique), the 2nd movement, a waltz "with a twist". If you don't hear the twist, then try to dance a waltz to it and you will find out quickly!

Another time lapse movie from Switzerland. Shooting locations are: Zürich, St.Gallen, Lachen, Schwyz. During the shots around the bus station in St.Gallen, I had a lot to explain what I was doing...
The music is Ungarische Melodie, Schubert.

Footage from a winter hike above the clouds close to Einsiedeln, from the roof of a university building (ETH) in Zurich and from a hill near St. Gallen, all in Switzerland.
Shot with a Canon EOS 50D and the 400D (XTi), HDR with 3 brackets.
PS: Thanks for all the nice comments! The last scene was shot on Christmas Eve 2008. I was on the highest point of a hill and had to wait for about 40 minutes until I got out of the fog...
Here: http://magictimelapse.blogspot.com/2009/02/tutorial-how-to-make-hdr-time-lapse.html is a tutorial how to create an HDR timelapse.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
