Sephoris, Sippori, or Zippori—was known as “the ornament of all Galilee." It was a major city just a few miles from Nazareth. Today you can only glimpse into the grandeur, wealth and industry of a Roman city that once was. This mosaic is known as “The Mona Lisa of the Galilee,” more than likely a mistress to the man of the house. She has gained notoriety for surpassing the height of mosaic artistry for its day.

We attempted to walk the same walk as Jesus did on His Palm Sunday entry into Jerusalem only to find what was supposed to be a gate—walled off. Under the heat and varying walking abilities in the group we decided to hire a local panel van to transport the lot of us to the closest gate—45 minute walk away. The Twin Lakes lie just over the ridge from the Flathead Valley in Jewel Basin. They are two small alpine lakes in Montana—a 3 mile hike from Camp Misery (poorly named trailhead).
