Join us to learn the benefits of massage for your rabbit companions. Learn techniques to help heal, lessen stress, and strengthen the bond between you and your bunny. Chandra Moira Beal is a licensed massage therapist and has been providing massage therapy to people and rabbits for more than ten years. Her book and new DVD are favorites among practitioners of hands-on touch therapies for animals.
With advances in medical care and better educated caretakers, our rabbit companions are living longer lives. With longevity comes a host of other issues our buns may experience; arthritis and spinal degeneration, cataracts, chronic weight loss and, potentially even cancer.
Dr. Knox will discuss the variety of health issues we may see and how to manage them. She'll give tips for keeping a closer eye on our older rabbit friends, what to watch for and when to take them to be seen by their vet.
Spring has arrived and this is the perfect time to begin planting your bunny-friendly garden. Our
speaker, HRS educator Larry Dudus, has fostered rabbits for many years and they’ve been the
lucky recipients of fresh organic greens from his garden.
Larry will talk about the best veggies and greens to plant for your bunny, and how to make good
use of your rabbit’s own “natural” fertilizer!
