Rick Altman and David Oliver perform an eclectic blend of original compositions for marimbas and vibraphone. The music is inspired by many sources including improvised new music, jazz, folk, and ethnic world musics. David's compositions are heavily influenced by ska, reggae, Indian, Turkish, Latin, and classical music. Rick's compositions borrow more from the traditional jazz and new age modal jazz as well as samba and salsa.
Along with their compositional skills these artists are extremely gifted performers. Both musicians have decades of experience performing many styles of music.
