This project was sitting in a folder for some time since last year, so I decided I should give it a go and try to get better at shape animation and sound design. The idea came from Seth Eckert's great work and this nice pack I found browsing the web. Everything was imported to AE as shapes and the task was to animate each morph a day the best I could. Sound is Mega Man 3's "Game Over" song with a lot of stock FX.
To be honest – the idea for »Traveling Lights« came to us by accident. We were fooling around with geometric objects while developing a logo design. We liked the idea of combining simple shapes and then creating a completely new context, only by excluding intersecting shape areas. In our case – a circle and a triangle became the snowy top of a mountain in front of the sun. With this picture in mind we started developing a minimalistic world, brought to life by the use of ambient noise and a haunting minimalistic score.
Take a moment and lose yourself in the abstract realism of this world.
5 million dollars will be spent on health care in the time in takes you to watch this spot. Medical costs are rising 3 times faster than everything else in America. Last year America wasted 1 out of every 3 dollars spent on health care. Yikes! We teamed up with the friendly crew at Capstrat to make a series of films that speak to these heavy facts.

Doing the things you love to do in life can require a lot of energy. You know that cold shaky feeling after too much coffee, and huge crash after a couple of hours… You catch yourself still looking for something to eat after the 7th snack… This can drag your attention away from what really matters to you.
There is something you can do about this now. It will only cost you a little bit of your unique imagination. Shop around for the fruits and vegetables that attract you at the local organic market. Combine them into a Smoothicle to create a new surprising taste. Give it a name and let others experience what’s so great about your creation. We’re sure your friends wont mind getting one. its a perfect way to get together and share ideas and get things done collectively.
