HD Pal Video - Stereo Audio - 2010 Part of an ongoing thematic series examining human presence/absence in the landscape. This particular focus relates to the notion of 'speciesism', how we as humans treat fellow species, and the value that we give to their life. The work evokes the wide open space of Australia's interior, familiar yet eerie. The documentation was taken during a 2 month road-trip into the centre and back to Cairns through NW Queensland.

(Originally presented/screened on corrugated iron at Arthouse, as part of Mixed Grill Sat 26th March 2011) A reminder of the detritus of contemporary human existence, focused through Cyclone Yasi. Rubbish collects in Chinaman Creek after the cyclones heavy winds, monsoonal rain and flooding. All audio was recorded on the night of the cyclone in Cairns Far North, Queensland - 3/2/2011.
