This is a preview of my new audio-visual composition for live performance, Cube with Magic Ribbons. The piece partly draws on the visual paradoxes of M.C.Escher but is also inspired by the impossible spaces found in the two dimensional graphics of early computer games such as Asteroids and Pacman. I created it using a custom visual sequencer, Sound Circuit, which I built in OpenFrameworks. The sound is from SuperCollider of course !

The word seemed an apt title for a piece in which sugar cubes are used to signify sounds which mysteriously morph in relation to the position and movement of…

The performers in the film are Edward Anderton, Simon Katan, Sarah Scutt, Tom Shelton, Yukkiko Shinohara, and Reynaldo Young. Cinematography…
A puzzle built out of contemporary classical music. At first the music is all jumbled up but by standing in different squares of a grid you and your team members can change what the musicians are playing. Through using ears and cunning, you must arrange yourselves in the correct order and crack the code which will make all the musicians play the same music before time is up and the piece of music finishes.
Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
