The crazy thing about this episode is that, it was completely spontaneous. I was at Double Door for another artist and was asked to shoot the headliner of the event (thanks to Ill Legit for asking).
Vertikal is Jazz, Vertikal is Hip Hop, Vertical is just good music. The combination of Ill Legit’s lyrics and Stacey Renee’s vocals bring something complimentary and dynamic to the stage. Despite being a nine-piece band their sound flows together like a jazz quartet. The one thing that stands out when you’re at one of their shows is the energy they pull from the crowd. It’s so much that you cannot tell the difference between a long time fan and someone seeing them for the first time. If you get an invite to a Vertikal show, GO!
