The YO! Fest is the annual Youth Festival organised by the European Youth Forum outside symbolic places for the European Institutions. It's name comes from the YO!Mag (Youth Opinion), which is the magazine of the platform of youth organisations in Europe since 1980.
The YO!Fest is a a political festival with debates, workshops and music which mobilises youth organisations and other civil society partners as well as thousands of people for a cause concerning young people in Europe.
In 2010 YO!Fest asked the European Union to set up a structured dialogue with youth. In 2011 it celebrated young volunteers and pledged for a European Charters on the Rights of Volunteers (II Youth Convention on Volunteering). In 2012 the festival pushed for the endorsement of the Institutions of a European Charter for quality Internships and Apprenticeships (Intern Action Day).
YO!Fest 2013 is held in the frame of the European Youth Week and mark the time of youth claiming to become the main actors of relaunching European Democracy: we will launch the European Election 2014 Campaign Mobilisation through the League of Young Voters and celebrate 25 Years of EU Programmes for Youth.
