Part of research and work developed to document processes and games created to measure the passage of time. Such play is informed from limited materials such as those hand-carried and those within the landscape – rocks, trees, vegetation, paths, e.t.c. The work is framed through seriousness, the mundane, nonsense, failure and success.
Commissioned as part of the Outlandia Residency program 2013, curated by London Fieldworks. Outlandia is an off-grid treehouse artist studio and fieldstation in Glen Nevis, Lochaber, Scotland. A flexible meeting space in the forest for creative collaboration and research.
Gentler Passion presents a sound installation exploring hand-made sheds that Pigeon Fanciers build for their birds.
For this project this video is a form of sketchbook, a source I can make that exists as an exercise and precursor to the final sound installation.

Encouraging Malfunctions is a commission for the Bucharest Young Artists' Biennial 2012.
Presenting a moment of optimism and positivity, held in balance but then rapidly followed by failure as one must always succumb to gravity and fall to the ground.
The biennial's title, "Art is Always Somewhere Else", takes the QR code as the method of dissemination creat[ing] a constant connection between technology, high speed information transfer, labeling and art, real and virtual, physical and abstract, dislocation and relocation of space and time.
Compositions of staring contests. Each player battles with control as they attempt to suppress the function of their senses. Alongside this, each player is challenged to accept their failure or success to the detriment of the other.
A guessing game for two players. Opponents place the name of a famous person or character on the forehead of one another. The player then guesses their identity by asking questions. Their opponent only answers with yes or no.
